Sexual Harassment: I'm a Porn Star, and if You Harass Me I Will Punch You in the Balls(via @Jezebel)
Please take a minute to read this article,then imagine this applying to not just street harassment but all other kinds of harassment,labelling,slut shaming,stereotyping,dismissive judgmental behavior from even other woman.
From friends, co-workers,peers and really just the public in general.Harassment comes in all forms and it shouldn’t be accepted.
The past 3 years has both made clear to me the selfish depraved disgusting lack of boundaries the public has for woman,seriously everything from stalkers to possessive friends,”friends” and fellow “professionals” getting together to tell my current performance partner I “sell my body for a living and don’t respect myself” so clearly he shouldn’t work with me,prank phone calls from woman and other “single white female” BS.General disrespect and downright nasty behaviour which has been completely unwarranted.
These past couple of years though others have been fucked up in their own way, but these years have made me hate people.
I used to enjoy sharing and caring for others,expecting civil behaviour in return.Non competitive sharing right?Now after being belittled as a female,robbed of my choice,disrespected as a free being,put down a a professional..now I am full of rage.
I feel as if those of you who aren’t smart enough to be considerate have robbed the world of a truly caring person with a lot to offer the world.
I just don’t think people understand what it is to be a woman who is beautiful and successful.Everyone hates you because they can’t have you or have what you have.I don’t think people understand what it is to be treated so badly for so long,that the violence that sits underneath the surface is ready and waiting to strike back at the next insult or slimy manoeuvre.Ignoring personal boundaries should come at a price,and we should all be accountable,or at least careful what you get yourself into.
